Often regarded as an easy-to-penetrate market, India forms the cornerstone of many educational institution’s international student intake. With almost 200,000 Indian students currently studying abroad - a number that seemingly has no limits - only China sends more international students overseas.
India has the 2nd largest population of higher education students, and is predicted to pass China within the next 10 years, with an estimated 119 million college aged students by 2025.
Already over 50% of the country’s population is under the age of 25, making India home to one of the world’s youngest populations.
FPP has been organizing biannual fairs in India’s exciting student markets since 2015, and has been quick to gain the support of attending government bodies, such as the US Embassy, Education USA, the High Commission of Canada, DAAD Germany, NUFFIC Netherlands, and CampusFrance. In the first semester of 2019, FPP will be visiting five major cities, each with a great student population.

Already over 50% of the country’s population is under the age of 25, making India home to one of the world’s youngest populations.
Between 2007 and 2013 the number of Indian students enrolling in higher education doubled to 28 million. With this level of growth, the level of quality of education has struggled to keep up, further encouraging students to consider overseas institutions to continue and complete their education. The Indian government is looking to increase the quality of the country’s education system, and has targeted being home to 20 world-class universities.
Indian students tend to look for recognition on a global level to give them a competitive edge over the huge number of peers that they will be competing with for jobs. They believe that the best way to find this is through quality education, which is limited within India, but in abundance overseas.
English speaking countries tend to be the highest receivers of Indian students, followed by a number of European countries, but with the rest of the world – particularly Asia – still receiving high numbers of Indian students.
Pune is a vibrant metropolis of over 5.5 million people, and has become a hub of education, industry and information technology. Pune is the 2nd largest city in the state of Maharashtra after Mumbai, which is only a few hours away.
Mumbai, formerly Bombay, is known as the business capital of India, and is the country’s main financial and communication centre. It is also home to many young professionals. Currently ranked sixth on the list of the world's most populous cities, it’s projected to become the fourth largest city by 2030, when its population would grow to 28 million from the current 21 million.
Chennai (formerly Madras), is India’s 6th largest city and the largest educational, commercial and industrial centre of South India. The city has a strong automotive industry and is known as the ‘Detroit’ of India.
Bangalore (Bengaluru) is the centre of India’s high-tech and IT industry, and is often referred to as India’s Silicone Valley. Bangalore has a population of approximately 10.5 million, including the country’s highest concentration of young people, and is the fastest growing Indian metropolis behind New Delhi.
Delhi is the capital of India, and one of the world's most populous cities. Since 1990, the population has more than doubled to 25 million. Together, New Delhi and Old Delhi combine to form a bustling metropolis that has an amazing mix of modernisation and carefully preserved antiquity.
"FPP brings a lot of people from different cities from around the world. People coming here are really interested to go abroad, they have already read about the schools they come and ask specific questions."
"I do FPP fairs so I can speak directly with the students and get an idea of what they are looking for and what the market is. The quality of students is excellent and I think that is very important because you do meet a lot of people at these fairs. But they’re very well screened so we definitely get bookings through it - that’s why I am here."
Southern Lakes English College (New Zealand)

"We have been participating in FPP’s fairs for about 4 years now, and participate in all their regions (Latin America, Mexico, Middle East, Asia, Europe, India) and we have had a great turn around. Every fair season for us FPP is a must. I love how user friendly their online portal is. We are able to get students (leads) that match our profile, upload the leads that we collected at fairs and even send them email blasts from the portal. I would definitely recommend FPP to any university that wants great and qualified leads."
Full Sail University (USA)

"FPP is not only the best education fair organizer, but is also an important strategic partner for us. They clearly prioritise customer satisfaction and since we first met them 12 years ago, they have constantly outdone themselves in organizing and managing education fairs.
Since 2014 we have been hiring FPP to organize our own event - AC EXPO - the largest education fair in Brazil for students willing to go to Australian and New Zealand. It has been a real pleasure to work with them and the results have been incontestable. I have no doubt that education providers may accomplish very good ROI after an FPP fair."
